A Very Girly Cake Smash in Pink

Cute Cake Smash Photo Session for Baby Girl

I had such a good time with this precious little girl’s cake smash photo session!  When I spoke with her mommy about what she envisioned for the shoot, she said something whimsical, girly, and pink.  As we got to speaking, I learned that she is a little sister to one big brother.  I have an older son and younger daughter myself, so I understand the need to go “all girl” sometimes for the little one.  Growing up with a big brother can be rough and tumble at times!  So, I was happy to help create a girly cake smash in a vision of pink for this sweet first birthday session.

Pink and White Cake Smash Setup

For this girly cake smash set, I started with my pink Savage seamless backdrop in the color Coral.  It was the perfect shade of pink!  Then I affixed some paper fans to the back in different sizes with pink and white patterns.  I also got some white and clear balloons with white ribbons to match.  Balloons always look so festive!  Lastly, I sprinkled some white confetti on the ground.  Everything looked so whimsical and girly!

The birthday girl wore a pink tutu and jewelry set that her mommy ordered just for the occasion.  Doesn’t get more girly than that!  The cake was covered in pink and white ombre frosting in a swirl pattern.  It was the perfect finishing touch for a girly cake smash. 

It was so fun to watch as she happily dug into her cake.  And just like a true girly girl, she was very dainty with it.  Instead of going for a messy smash, she only dipped one finger at a time.  Eventually a little bit of frosting got smeared on her face, and even her little toes.  It was so cute!  And that was a wrap.  Happy birthday, sweet girl!  So glad I could celebrate with you and your family.
