Sweet and Sparkly Photos for Baby Girl
This is one of my favorite one year old sessions yet! Sweet little lady arrived at my portrait studio ready for her first birthday photo session just after her morning nap. She was in a great mood; bubbly and smiley all around, as you can see in these pictures. To say that she rocked her photo session is an understatement! I knew that this birthday girl was having a pink and gold first birthday theme from my planning consultation with her mommy prior to the session. We talked about colors, props, and outfit choices. These are some of the things I always discuss with moms during the planning stage. It helps me prepare the perfect setting for your baby’s first birthday pictures.
Pink and Gold Photography Props
For this pink and gold first birthday session, I set up my backdrop from Savage Universal in the color Coral. Its the perfect shade of pink! I strung up a gold circle garland and a “happy birthday” banner which had adorable pink bows on the ends. The banner was from her birthday party which was going to be in a few weeks. I love it when parents are able to incorporate party decorations in their photo session. They make great props! And last but not least, this little lady wore an amazing pink and gold tutu dress. Just look at those smiles! After all, how could you not smile if you look this fabulous for your first birthday?
Birthday Photos as Party Decor and Stationery
During our consultation, her mommy told me that she was planning to display the photos from the session at her birthday party. Isn’t that a neat idea? I’ve also known of parents using the photos on photo cards. You can get creative and use the photos for either the birthday invitations or thank-you cards. Guests love this and it makes an amazing impression. A first birthday or cake smash photo session is not only a fun and wonderful way to mark this special milestone for your baby, it could serve as excellent party decor and stationery ideas too!
