They will always be your baby, but they will never be this little again! I create clean, classic portraits in my New Jersey studio that capture your baby’s pure beauty and sweet expressions. I keep the backdrops uncomplicated and use a few simple, beautiful props. My studio wardrobe is stocked with adorable baby outfits and accessories that are picture perfect and oh-so-cute.

DOCUMENTING THE FIRST SMILES TO THE FIRST STEPS
There’s no wrong time to photograph your baby. The first year is filled with rapid growth and change, offering so many sweet moments worth capturing—from holding their head up and sitting unassisted to those first steps into toddlerhood. That first year passes in a blur, and you’ll be amazed at how much your baby changes in such a short time. Below are my recommended stages for capturing these precious milestones.
TUMMY TIME
Babies 3-5 Months Old
The first baby milestone session is typically scheduled around three to five months of age and is often called a “Tummy Time” session. This sweet, not-quite-a-newborn stage focuses on capturing your baby on their back and during tummy time, with moments like grabbing toes, sucking their thumb, rolling over, lifting their head, and beginning to scoot. We may also capture some of those early, heart-melting smiles.
SITTING UP
Babies 6-9 Months Old
One of my favorite times to photograph babies is the mid-year “Sitter Session,” typically scheduled when your baby can sit up independently—usually between six and nine months. At this stage, babies are curious, playful, and often very smiley. We’ll capture sweet images of your baby sitting on their own, interacting with simple toys, and showing off those big, joyful expressions that make this milestone so special.
FIRST BIRTHDAY
Babies 11-12 Months Old
The first birthday is the biggest milestone of all! It’s the moment you look back and wonder where the time went, amazed by how much your baby has grown. By this stage, they may be pulling up to stand or even taking their first steps. A first birthday photo session is the perfect way to capture this fleeting moment—whether you choose a playful cake smash to document that first taste of cake or a classic first birthday portrait session instead. Either way, we’ll create a beautifully styled setting for unforgettable images.

When to Book your Baby’s Portrait Session
PLAN AHEAD FOR BABY’S BEST YEAR
Booking early is the best way to ensure we can capture the milestones you don’t want to miss, as sessions often book several months in advance. I recommend one or two sessions during your baby’s first year, with a sitter session and a first birthday session being a perfect combination to document their growth. If you choose just one milestone, the sitter session is my favorite—it captures that fleeting stage before your baby starts walking and transitions into toddlerhood.

You’re welcome to bring meaningful pieces from home—such as a cultural outfit, heirloom, or personalized item—or choose from my studio wardrobe for a stress-free option. I offer simple, handmade baby outfits in sizes 6–18 months, complete with coordinating accessories. Most sessions allow for up to two outfit changes, or as baby will allow.
Picture Perfect Props for Babies
I’ve curated a collection of props that reflect my classic, organic style and are perfect for baby milestone sessions. This includes crates, benches, and beds sized just right for babies who can sit unassisted, as well as shallow bowls and fur rugs for tummy time or laying on their backs. Each setup is finished with earthy accessories like blankets, stuffies, baby toys, jute, and florals, creating natural, timeless scenes for your baby.
Family Portraits at your Baby’s Photo Session
YOUR NEW FAVORITE FAMILY PHOTO
Your baby milestone photo session is a wonderful opportunity to create a beautiful new family portrait! While your baby’s session will be primarily focused on capturing beautiful images of your little one at their current milestone stage, you also have the option to add family portraits. We can photograph just the siblings, turn it into a mommy-and-me experience, or make it a full family session. I’ll take care of posing everyone in a fun and relaxed manner and capture an amazing portrait that everyone is going to be proud of.

The studio offers a variety of stunning printed artwork options to complete your portrait experience. Whether you prefer a large wall piece for your home; a collection of smaller prints that can be distributed and enjoyed in multiple places; or an album that you can flip through to relive those precious baby days. I handle all of the design and ordering details, and I work with the best professional print labs in the industry. Your finished pieces will be absolutely beautiful so you can cherish them for years to come.

The Baby’s First Year Portrait Plan is designed to help you document your baby’s first year in a beautiful, meaningful way. I’ll send reminders so you never miss a milestone, and each session is thoughtfully styled to reflect your baby’s unique personality and style in mind. You’ll receive a cohesive collection of images throughout the year.
The plan includes three sessions—choose any of the milestones, including cake smash, or an outdoor family session. If you began with me for your baby’s newborn portraits, those will be bundled into your plan. You’ll also receive priority booking for special events, promotions on artwork, and a custom hardcover album at the end of the year, creating a timeless keepsake you’ll treasure for years to come.
Pricing for Baby Photography
BABY DAYS PASS BY IN A BLINK
A $200 deposit secures your session and begins the planning process. Sessions begin at $490, with your total investment reflecting the options selected. I’ll take time to learn your preferences and thoughtfully design a session that reflects your baby and your vision. Your session fee includes a curated set of high-resolution digital images with print release. Additional options are available to expand your digital collection or invest in professional print products.
